Monthly BWI Learning Circle for Doulas
This is a virtual conversation and networking event for doulas of all backgrounds and locations. We'll answer your questions regarding your birth and postpartum doula practice. Plus, everyone learns from others' questions and we get to know each other better!
These online meetings are lead by Master Doulas / Trainers, where we answer your questions and discuss ideas as a group. One hour sessions are offered monthly, usually on the first Monday eve, 8:30pm CST (UTC-6). We shift to another day if the first Monday is a holiday in Canada.
Birth Doulas and Postpartum Doulas are welcome, as are any current students in our BWI training programs.
There's a specific topic for each month. You'll learn about the issue and how to help your clients have a better and safer experience.
We cover:
- Doulas' role
- Considerations for your client through pregnancy, birth and postpartum
- How the situation can be easier on the doula.
After the sessions topic is covered, we welcome general questions about "doulary". You can e-mail your questions ahead of time or ask in the meeting.
These calls are always free for doulas in the BWI Programs and our BWI trained doulas. We're currently waiving the $15 fee for non-members while "doulary" is challenging through C-19.
You must register for the Q&A meetings through our online booking system to save your spot in the session and receive the Zoom link. Attendance is limited.
If you find you can not attend then please cancel or reschedule your session on the link provided in the confirmation e-mail.
"These situations keep cropping up and have such an impact on the births and postpartum experiences of my clients. I'd like to help other doulas know what to do before they get there." - Angie Evans, Birth Ways International
